Description of Kelpha Station
Reminder: Everything on the station is written in both Les Iban and Pilian. Also, everyone who needs such is wearing their goggles as the illumination in the station is about 60-100 watts.

Korgan's General Store
The group clears the security checkpoint and is permitted onto the station proper. To the north as they enter is a small space with a variety of things tucked into it. The kiosk in front says “Korgan's General Store” and behind the kiosk is a bland-looking fellow with dark hair who is either wearing form-fitting body armor or whose body is almost entirely composed of bionics and cybernetics. He looks up from the screen at his kiosk and flashes you all a smile as if to convey that he is not so busy that he can't sell you something. Behind him are a few racks and shelves with various tourist-oriented knick-knacks like the coffee mug that reads “I'd rather be laser-forging” or the T-shirt that says “Kisentite: sharper than your average politician, and less expensive!” Cigarettes and snuff are advertised in garish holograms projected just above head-height in the space, moving 3D images of different humanoid species engaged in recreation and water sports, all wearing smiles and endorsing their brand of tobacco. There is also a large beverage station with a dizzying variety of hot and cold drinks advertised. Just behind the kiosk is a vid-screen with further advertisements running on it and just behind that is a large shelf lined with various data-pad links advertising literature from a myriad number of authors and sources. There is a cooler with some chilled, processed foods and in the very back corner of the space is a rotating rack with various T-shirts promoting rock and jazz bands and bland-looking blue or gray jumpsuits such as would typically be seen in engineering spaces aboard large freighters.

Directly across from Korgan's General Store is a heavy, metal door with security access pad that reads “PLASMA PROCESSING STATION” on the door in large, yellow-stenciled lettering and surrounded by bio-hazard symbols.

Further east and just beyond Korgan's General Store is the beginning of the bazaar.

Flomoshi's Fine Eats
To the north is a partitioned section with a printed sign hanging over the entrance which reads “Flomoshi's Fine Eats”. Inside can be seen a wrap-around counter behind which stands a tall, very dark-skinned woman with stark white hair who's pouring what looks to be a cup of caff for a long-haired fellow seated on a stool on the opposite side of the counter. Beyond the counter are tables, one of which is occupied by some sort of furry humanoid.

Bazaar
Just outside the restaurant is a corner with a vending machine advertising both hot and cold “Georgia Coffee” and five flavors of “Kisent Snacks”. Near the vending machine is a large console and screen to which Ryden gravitates. The sign above the console station reads “Phorilla Communications Corporation—stellar communications access terminal”. The console first offers its user a choice of operation in each of the major trade languages. Once past that interface function, a list of various prices for intrastellar communications is provided as well as the corporation's data access plans which are generalized into two groups: terrestrial and space. Terrestrial data plans provide varying levels of access to wireless data networks on the surface of the Kisent homeworld—none of the other worlds in this star system apparently have the infrastructure necessary to support such. Space data plans provide varying levels of access to the local wireless data networks on all of the many space stations in orbit around the Kisent homeworld. As powerful transmitters are required for intrastellar communications such as between a space station and the Kisent homeworld or beyond orbit.

South of Flomoshi's Fine Eats are two vendors. The vendor on the west side of the passageway is an odd-looking humanoid whose shelves seem to be stocked entirely with foodstuffs. Many of the items on the shelves are processed foods distributed by some organization which uses the following logo on all its products:

There are other foodstuffs from various planets in the quadrant. These all share one thing in common in that they're all imported as there are no organisms on the Kisent homeworld which are edible by non-Kisents. All food for visitors to the Phorilla system must be imported. Still, there is a diverse selection of foodstuffs available of both the processed and unprepared varieties present on the vendor's shelves. Besides the vendor, there is another humanoid present. This one is also male but has small horns protruding from his head and is perusing the spicy foods shelf and a transparent jar filled with some green, gelatinous-looking substance.

The vendor across from the humanoid selling foodstuffs is a canine humanoid of some time, one that looks especially intimidating and predatory. His wares are couched on gleaming stainless steel tables displayed for all to see: weapons. The first rack of weapons consists entirely of melee weapons, the vast majority of which are high-quality kisentite blades of varying size and aesthetic. The second weapons rack has a number of various pistols, sub-machine guns, rifles, and other assorted projectile and energy weapons. Many of these ranged weapons also sport the same logo as seen on much of the foodstuffs. On the vendor's third rack is but one very large gun, one likely intended for mounting on a vehicle, heavy robot, or small spacecraft. All of the weapons have security devices attached to them and are tethered to their racks.

At the end of this area stands an enormous robot with the word "SECURITY" emblazoned on its chest in bright colors and in both languages. Behind and to one side of the security robot stands what looks to be a scanning device or gate of some sort in front of it. Above the gate "SECURITY" is also written, presumably this is the security post for this section of the station.

The Potted Kisent
Just past the communications console and the weapons vendor is The Potted Kisent. Just inside and along the south end from the bar are two pairs of comfortable-looking leather recliners. Between the two pairs of recliners is the door with a sign over it that read "KARL CLINIC". The bartender appears to be a fairly hairy but well-groomed humanoid who wears a nicely-tailored cooling jacket over his clothes and takes occasional breaths from a breathing tube which juts up from his collar and rests near his mouth like a headset mic. Beyond the bar is a table, and beyond that is a door with "PRIVATE QUARTERS" written on a sign above it. Just east of their table is a trio of vidscreens with flashing lights and other stuff surrounding them. Next to the bank of vidscreens is a door with a sign overhead which reads "HAZARD'S EMPORIUM OF WONDERS".

The Felias Information Network has a kiosk manned by a feline humanoid named Mac who's sitting at his station typing with a rapidity that makes his fingers a blur. A holo-recorder stands idly to one side of the typing feline's station.

Mogomian
A vegetation world that is home to a mass of trees that quite literally support tons. One does not visit the surface of the world, only the canopy of trees. The interesting thing is those trees, when they die, harden into the consistency of concrete - like a massive petrified forest. The natives will hollow out trees to make them into skyscrapers. The remains of the trees can also be used to make incredibly dense, light, and expensive construction material. Something happened around Day 21 post destruction, while 1st SOG was on Kelpha Station (Phorilla), that had slowed or stopped production of Florasteel, the reinforced material that is created by the subtle forging and harvesting of the tree's branches.

They also have a liquid called Mogane Healer that has amazing healing properties when injested or injected. Can be combined for cures of everything from stomach ache to toe fungus in half to a third the normal time.

Natives are a humanoid race born on this bright world. Their hands and feet are much more prehensile than is normal, but they are relatively genetically stable, with Megalopolis Age tech. They still employ fission and metal hydrogen for starship drives and have barely begun their exploration programs. But they are fully integrated into the galactic market and sell often to the FAR and independant traders. They sit right on the border with the FAR.

SOG Note: Obtaining Mogane Healer would be an incredible boon to Arismal Medical stores and help heal many critically injured folks.
Manufacturing Note: Florasteel ships would allow us to move greater volume and have greater maneuverability with the same level of drives, while remaining equally as tough..

Rol, Home of the Perola

Rol is a world that has great importance. It is the home of the seemingly mystical Perola race, a society of nudist, naturistic, aesthetics that are simultaneously scary and inviting. They have technology every bit the equal of the Atorian Empire and have no conflict of note within their society. They are masters of diplomacy who are pacifists. They have incredible force field technology that will supposedly stop even an Atorian invasion. The problem is they are also of the mistaken opinion that the Atorian Empire will one day join in harmony with the rest of the galaxy.

The Perola are well known for their medical technology, and guard their methodology closely. They are known to die rather than divulging the secrets of their technology. They are also known to be great boosters for the FAR and have influenced many races to join the FAR. While they would not be an ally in fighting the Atorian Empire, once accepted we could find allies in that regard. They have incredible sway in bringing in folks to the FAR. If we can convince them the need, perhaps they could be used to expedite the joining of the Arismal people with the FAR, if that is desired. The information I found suggests they are very helpful in helping displaced races to resettle on planets of their own.

SOG Note: Even a salvaged Perola Force Field would increase our knowledge of forcefields by decades if not hundreds of years. We should obtain one.
Medical Note: Any information about Perola healing technologies would help fleet medical.

Vaniayes, Home of the Mulls

The Mull Tiaii Fassinae are a race with a dark past. They joined the FAR, then broke away and created their own empire and invaded FAR space. A creature from another dimension had taken control of their rulers and had corrupted them. While that was a long time ago, they are still paying for it in their reputation. They are now seen as defenders of peace and freedom. They are a twilight world species of warm blooded reptilians who have six eyes, scaly skin, and six long fingers on each hand. Their hair (yes they have it) tends to be black, dark brown, or dark blue.

They are known to extend their hand to those in need. Such a race would be a powerful ally in the resettlement and rebuilding of our civilian world and joining the FAR. The Mulls are a Galaxy Age civilization equal to or superior to any of the advanced races within the FAR, with advanced spacecraft drives and space travel capabilities, cutting edge medical tech, and numerous colonies open to all visitors.

Tech Note: These guys seem to be the most open minded about technology. Might be worth our time to ally with them.
Diplomacy Note: If we can talk them into it, we can possibly make a solid ally in the creation of a new home planet for the Arismal race.

Kissia, Home of the Kassans

Kissia is a planet that has similar conditions (what others have referred to as a Twilight type planet), Kassans are the dominant race on the planet. They are a race of humanoids strongly resembling the Arismal. The Kassans universally have either psychic powers or super powers (which are much less diverse than among the Arismal but much more consistent than on Arismal). Non-psychic Kassans all will have 2 Minor Powers [Energy Expulsion powers, Heightened Senses], and 1 Major Power [typically mechano-link, teleport, and the darkness control, gravity manipulation, or magnetism]. They have a well deserved reputation for massive egos and looking down on anyone with the misfortune not to have been born Kassan.

Kassans were one of the original founding races of the Federation of Allied Races in 875 IR (~430 years ago).

*** The variety/distribution of psychic powers amongst Kassans is less well documented.

Intelligence Note: It seems fairly easy for Arismal to pass for Kassans by adopting the right attitude given the similarity in appearance. Some supporting background facts are also being provided to help as best as possible.


Kissia The only city from the Kassan homeworld that is widely known is its capital, Korvas Tyuth. Home to approximately thirty million Kassans with typically a million transients annually, Korvas Tyuth is by orders of magnitude the largest city on the planet. It is also the only megalopolis on Kissia and home to most of Kassan high-tech, heavy industry, and government. Approximately ten percent of the surface of Kissia is dominated by vast surface cities. The rest of the planet's surface is carefully cultivated "wilderness" or dedicated to agriculture.

Kassan Colony Worlds There are twenty Kassan colony worlds within twenty light years of Kissia. As none have yet to achieve any substantial populations or specialized industries, they are numerically named (Kissia One, Kissia Two, etc.); all have populations of under a million. Of the twenty colony worlds, only one is a twilight world of the class M variety akin to Kissia. The rest are comprised of class L, class K, and three other class M worlds many of which have multiple natural satellites.

Kassan Cuisine/Recipes Kassan cuisine is characterized by meticulous preparation and careful presentation of food, at a high price level, perhaps accompanied by expensive wines. Kassan cuisine varies according to the season. On hot worlds or during hot seasons, salads and fruit dishes are popular because they are refreshing and produce is inexpensive and abundant. At the end of summer on Kissia, mushrooms become plentiful and appear in stews throughout Kassan space. The hunting season begins in September and runs through February. Game of all kinds is eaten, often in elaborate dishes that celebrate the success of the hunt. Shellfish are at their peak when winter turns to spring, and oysters appear in restaurants in large quantities. A meal often consists of three courses, entrée (introductory course, sometimes soup), main course, and cheese course or dessert, sometimes with a salad offered before the cheese or dessert.

● Kassan Herbs: Kassan Cooking commonly uses 3 classes of herbs: Fines herbe, Persillade, and Provincial mixture. Fines herbe include tarragon, chives, chervil and parsley. They’re referred to as such due to their delicate flavors. As opposed to more robust herbs like oregano, marjoram, rosemary and thyme, their delicateness make them more suitable for seasoning at the end of a dish, rather than cooked within the dish. Persillade is a mixture of chopped parsley and garlic (sometimes with oil and vinegar), cooked or added raw at the end of cooking. This is a classic addition to roasted tubers. Provincial mixture includes marjoram, rosemary, thyme, oregano, and lavender. This combination is used for meat, fowl, fish, soups and stews.

Kassan Martial Arts: Ots-lo is a martial arts style known for its focus on real-world situations and its extremely efficient and brutal counter-attacks. It is the result of hundreds of years of evolution in Kassan martial arts, and the culmination of the merging of many older (no longer practiced), and more specialized forms.

Manida, Home of the Aurovax

Manida is a deceptively beautiful world of clear blue waters, green forests, and flowering plants. Gleaming skyscrapers fill sprawling cities inhabited by the reptilian aurovax. On the surface, the planet appears to be a balance of technology and nature. The advanced civilization of the aurovax has nearly eliminated pollution, disease, and crime. They have mastered the sciences of medicine (for reptiles anyway), robotics, bionics, cloning and space engineering. If not for their unreasoning fears and prejudices, the aaurovax might well have the closest thing in the galaxy to a perfect society.

Manida and its beautiful cities can be deadly for humans and other life forms. The planet has a thin atmosphere that allows much of its sun's radiation to strike the planet.They distrust all mammals, and don't trust strangers. Deadly force is often used in the name of self-defense. They also deal harshly with the unusual among their own people. In aurovax society people with super powers or psionics are feared and ostracized, and are exiled without trial.

The Aurovax have a large, highly skilled military, with robot and bionic troops. Aurovax scientists study the impact of super beings on advanced and primitive civilizations.

Tech Note: Examples of Aurovax cloning equipment could be of great use to the Arismal.
