NG Equalizer
Northern Gun's engineers always make commercially non-viable prototypes to test out novel design ideas, and to test engineering theories. The Equalizer is one such item.

  • Rate of Fire: Single shots only

  • Features: W.P. Handguns, Custom Grip, Laser Targeting
    • Adaptive engineering: can use NE-002PC Plasma Cartridges (no knockdown)
    • Knockdown Effect:
      • Human-sized: roll vs shooter's natural strike roll to maintain footing
      • Success: remains standing & loses initiative (even in M.D. armor)
      • Failure: victim knocked off feet & back 1D4', loses initiative, -1 APM (even in M.D. armor)
      • Immune: power armor, full conversion cyborgs, robots, giants, supernatural beings & creatures of magic
  • Modifiers: +1 to initiative, +2 to strike, critical strike on Natural 19-20
    • P.S. 15<: -2 to strike even with an aimed shot, -6 when shooting wild
    • P.S. 18+: required to fire one-handed
