The following are excerpts from Operative 022's yearly psych reviews. As one of the few freelance contractors employed by the Coalition Military it was essential to maintain a close watch of this operative. Do to his incredible skill at misleading and disguising his personal feelings, these reports have been seized against the agreement the operative requested and as such can not be used in any action against the agent. The purpose for compiling this data is to both understand his feelings of discontent and develop a method to create more operatives with his skill set and field success.


EKS Operative 022 XXXXXX XXXXXXX Psychiatric Evaluation Session 1-Year 1

Being a sneaky bastard. That's what started everything way back when I was still a teenager. Ya, I was smart and driven and excelled physical games but in the end, the thing that proved to be the real catalyst was being a sneaky bastard. In general, I was and am a sour mother fucker. I don't know why, maybe cause my dad beat the hell out of me too often. It doesn't really matter in the long run, that asshole was not the reason I am who I am. I could read people like a book and I learned real quick that I could get pretty much what I wanted from them if I acted the part. So I always did, act the part I mean. I only let my real personality, you know, the surly mother fucker, out with my closest friends. That's when I upped my sneaky bastardness and started breaking into businesses and exploring the hacking world. I realized right away that I got a real thrill from the idea that I was somewhere I wasn't supposed to be and people didn't know I was there. By the time I was in my late teens I really perfected my skills and could get in to almost any regular business face to face or virtually. It was all I did for fun. Through it all, I played the typical teenager, played games, and had an active social life. I was damn good at pretending and people always believed my act but on the inside I was angry and the only thing that removed the anger was thinking about a new way to challenge myself.

EKS Operative 022 XXXXXX XXXXXXX Psychiatric Evaluation Session 2-Year 2

I was lucky to get to study at this school my mom knew someone at and I was able to breeze through any course I took but I always made sure it was technology based. I wasn't really in it though as my mind was constantly on what new business I could hit next. It was then that I was, "recruited" by this merc outfit. It turns out one of the businesses I hit had been one they were hired to monitor and they were pissed. They had been tracking me for months and their almost unlimited resources were no match for my amateur break and entering skills. I got hauled into this little room and left there for hours. I knew I was probably in trouble because I had no idea how far back their file could go on me, I had done a ton of shit. When this douchey guy came into the room and dropped a thick folder on the table I thought my goose was cooked. Then he surprised me with a recruitment speech. Pretty standard stuff, "We are amazed you're capable of so much with no training. You want to be better, learn how to get in anywhere and never be seen." I'm not goona lie here, I got a little chubby thinking about enhancing my skills professionally. In the end I agreed and shit got weird. They told me I had to give everything up, stop using XXXXXX as my name, cut all ties and shit like that. It wasn't a hard decision, I was on a plane that night. Of course, I excelled at everything when I went through training at XXXXXX and then advance placement training in XXXXXX. You know how they run the deep cover guys, they had me fail out publically and then brought me back as a dark operative. That was when the real training started.

After my "pretend" wash out, it was years before I was ready to hit the field as a pro but when I did, I blew my handlers out of the fucking water. I crushed all the expectations and was a real stat breaker with my success rate. The dead heads recruited me then and I didn't give it much thought because of the money they offering, maybe in hind site I should have thought about how hard it would be to get out once I was in. Anyway, I have some pretty good years with them and then these high up fucks start asking me why I'm always so successful.. No matter how many times they ask I have to tell them it's not just one thing that makes you good. I always have a great team and we work our asses off but when time permitted we had fun. No one wants to do anything if it’s not fun. I also started early and was recruited quickly but I'm scared to tell those high-ups that or they'll start pulling little kids off the street and force them into spy camps. Shit, it was also timing that allowed me to get the high numbers. You know the coalition doesn't want other groups getting the jump on them tech wise so they already had me watching all the major players when it came to R and D in the tech industry. So when, a few years back, a bunch of companies start trying to steal each other’s shit, I had already been doing it for years. Like honestly, it was a fucking joke, everybody thought they could send out "spies" to steal competitors stuff. There were so many amateurs and even worse security at most of the sites that we had to get into. It was next to impossible to not have high success numbers.


EKS Operative 022 XXXXXX XXXXXXX Psychiatric Evaluation Session 4- Year 3.5

This shit is crazy. When this thing first started I thought it was pretty cool, like taking candy from a baby. Every douche on the street thought he could be a spy. Boy was I wrong, we definitely trimmed the fat quickly. If you couldn't cut it in this line of work, you were out. Not just fired, fuck no, you were dead. Sometimes during a job but more often the shitty guys just got killed by their own handlers. Everything tightened up and I guess that's good for me cause the shit I do is now is one of the top commodities in the business. I've been offered jobs from three different groups for twice the money. Not offered directly to me but the word gets put out that a company will pay for the guy that did this job or that job. Three fucking times I could have left for more money. Fuck it, I said to myself, same shit different pile and if I go somewhere else I have to start from the bottom. Plus, the Coalition has been good to me and I've been here for ten years.

EKS Operative 022 XXXXXX XXXXXXX Psychiatric Evaluation Session 5-Year 4

This shit ain't fun no more. The jobs I liked have almost completely stopped and we mostly just blow shit up. It's like they just forget how good I was and turned me into a god damn thug. Even my team hated it and they knew I hated it more as I was constantly losing my shit over the littlest thing. Then they took that away as well and split my team up with some bullshit about spreading the wealth and putting strong members elsewhere. Then about a month ago the jobs got worse. I started getting more and more assassination orders, which I don't have an issue with cause sometimes a mother fucker just needs to die, but it’s not my thing. Then it got even worse. My handler gives me this file and has me set up a simple surveillance package on this dude so I do cause I'm happy to not be doing another kill job. After a few hours I recognize the guy and I almost shit myself right there. It's one of the fucking Coalition cyber docs working in our own lab. The only reason I know is cause he happens to be the one that set up my ear a while back. This guy is one of the high ups himself. Can you please tell me how I am supposed to know whose side I'm on when they don't even tell me when I am spying on our own people? What if my handler is fucking taking money from the other side and tells me to off a general that pissed him off? That was just the tip of the iceberg cause after the doctor, they had me on the trail of other EKS operatives that had deserted. They aren't working for anyone else, they just quit and walked away. They've done a shitty job of it cause I always find them but they aren't out there hurting anyone. I'll tell you this much, if I ever had to get the hell out of here, I would know how to do it a hell of a lot better than these guys.

This was the last known report for operative 022. Options are: He is dead in the field, defected to another company, or is attempting to disappear. Given his skill level and knowledge base, the committee feels it is in their best interests that operative 22 be declared dead in the field and the last two sentences of this report destroyed.

James main motivation in his life is to not get pulled back into the Coalition. He will also go out of his way to harass and sabotage any and all Coalition groups or property. His main reason for this is because when he worked for them he felt they reduced him to a common hit-man, (which is a waste of his clearly god given talents as a spy and tech thief). He was also not happy that the coalition sent him after his own teammates for no other reason but that they wanted out of the life. James is very selfish but a teammate is a teammate and his selfishness has limits.

Aside from being a pain in the ass to the coalition James has the following goals:

1-Develop a network of informants from as many locations as possible that report valuable information on a constant basis.
2-Develop an artificial intelligence capable of hacking software and giving him admin rights the instant it comes in contact with it. He will strive to give the AI his real disposition of being negative and very self deprecating.
3-Make a lot of money.
