Downtime Tracker

Postby Netosa » Tue Sep 04, 2018 2:44 pm

With the advancement of the timeline by three months everyone has roughly 90 days worth of activity to potentially allocate to ... whatever they want. (Don't blame your life on me if you spend all of your time on feminine company and alcoholic beverages. Though if that is your plan there are quality establishments in the city that will be glad to provide.)

The IC Press-ganging of the PCs in the recent GM post has been discussed and is judged to provide a negligible impact on your ability to conduct your own affairs during the same time period.

All current PCs should provide a concise estimation of how they would spend their time during this period and what they are seeking to get out of it. I am attempting to make this reasonably vague in order to not preclude any potential downtime requests unintentionally. I advise people to avoid activities that may require the narration and adjudication of scenes to arbitrate any more than absolutely necessary as this will vastly complicate the adjudication of your downtime.

Everyone please reply below with your desired activities / time allocation, and sought after results if applicable.

Predat is speaking to all his influential contacts about current events including the orcs and the black ships. He is particular chatty with Hala, when she is in town, as she travels quite a bit and may know more than the residents of Llorn.

He also speaks with all of his "Friends in Low Places" assuming he still has that. (How do you want that handled?)

He spends many nights messing with thieves he doesn't believe should be operating here in Llorn. He reports these activities to his contact Silk.

His off time will be spent on his ship, helping with repairs and hopefully learning a bit about carpentry.

As his axe went missing after all the troubles in town, he goes back to the Steel Anvil to look for a suitable replacement. He asks for the best axe he has. (Remember the Steel Anvil can make items better than the bonuses found in PFRPG) It is too obvious what he is if he always fights with a Dagger.

As for magic he is looking to pick up any resist or impervious to cold items, as he hates the cold.

First, priority to purchase! He is looking to pick up a trained Dragonactyl (Prefers reptiles) from the Three Ring Ranch. He can't take his Silonar north as the cold will kill him.

If the Tournaments are still being held at Champions Arena he may participate. He has already paid the Athlete Recommendation fee.

Durak's money will remain in Werringtons unless he needs it, only keeping a nominal amount on him at any time.

Durak will be looking in alchemists for Glasses of Thoth (I know they exist, but need to have a further hunt around for the exact book. Basically they allow you to read any language at 98%) and a ring of tongues (or two if Tatyana wants to get one as well PFRPG main book Page number to follow)

Appraise Goods 56% 1d100 = 93
Bartering 51% 1d100 = 63

He also wants to procure a cart and something to pull it (Durak has Teamster, not Horsemanship in case anybody else can't ride/has no mount either)
Appraise Goods 56% 1d100 = 16
Bartering 51% 1d100 = 15

He wants to get some rope
I presume Durak has tools for his skills, but if not he will need to get some for masonry, carpentry and field armourer

Otherwise, Durak will keep his ear to the ground, see if he can learn anything about the Coyles that were scared away who served the Dragon (as he detests Coyles) and any interesting titbits he might pick up whilst working.

While Jakkin will, indeed, spend a goodly amount of time drinking and wenching, he'll also take the time to get back in full conditioning. While his hand to hand combat is excellent -- you learn things you didn't know you didn't know when you teach it to new students -- his armed combat will have suffered over the past few years.

So, he'll spar a couple hours per day with opponents of various sizes wielding various weapons, as he can find willing partners, dusting off his various weapons skills and working on improving them (eventual use of EP to increase H2H by one level)

To that end, he'll need to find somewhere where such sparring is permitted; a private school, a public salle, the local temple devoted to Aco and the Juggernaut, whichever it turns out to be.

As well, he'll have to source a weaponsmith that will deal in Gnome-sized weaponry, and while he's at it track down an alchemist who feels that they're up to the challenge of reproducing ancient Kobold ammunition.

Having potentially given offense to Brago due to not having been informed of his unusual nature, Jakkin will also do his best to make amends and befriend the impressive wolf.

Fox had a promise to work with the healers to repay their help dealing with a curse. He has a number of things he was doing.

He was working with the healers to heal the injured from the dragon attack, then later working to keep the conscripted workers healthy.

He was using Brewing and Holistic Medicine to craft medicinal brews to help with stamina, recover, and sleep.

He wanted to make a visit home, but that clearly is not possible if he is being forced to stay here and work.

He is, in fact, working doing physical labor at least part of each day. Perhaps not a full day's labor, but a lot of work.

He was practicing in the use of the bow, having been gifted with a magical bow he would practice with it to learn its quirks. He is likely to try to find a private place to practice, letting others know what the bow can do is not necessarily a good thing, but HE has to.

He may also be helping with cooking for the workers, knowing that proper nutrition is required to get the most work out of people.

Tyral will study spells, as outlined here:
viewtopic.php?p=1356084#p1356084

[*] This should work out to ~90 Days of Study time @ UNLESS he cannot get all his spells.
The following seem to be missing and have the listed Learning times:
OOC Comments
[*] Time Warp: Slow Motion (L9, 45 PPE (1st Min) +10 PPE/L, 30ft Radius/L, BOM Pg 247) = 18 Days
[*] Retro-Viewing (L8, 30 PPE, 1 Hr/L (range) + 1 Min/L (view period), BOM Pg 245) = 16 Days
[*] Remote Viewing (L9, 45 PPE, 10 Miles/L, 1 Min/L, BOM Pg 246) = 18 Days
[*] Block or Seal Against Teleportation & Mystic Portal (L10, 3 Min/Lvl, DB13 - Fleets of the 3 Galaxies, Pg 121) = 20 Days

If there is any downtime he may also study biology, anatomy and ... chemistry with the local ladies (PB 26), and will over the course of the weeks seek to create an arsenal of warded sling-stones (OOC: The Wards spell (BOM Pg 138) creates different and more limited Wards than those drawn by Diabolists in PFRPG who only uses 1 PPE per Ward). The Spell costs 90 PPE, and makes 2 warded items per casting, but does NOT require components. Ostensibly over the 90 days, Tyral will be able to cast the spell once every 3-days without impacting work with the City, etc. This will give him up to 60. 30 to leave in his room as booby-traps, 30 to bring along).

His breakdown will be:
5 Banishment [Force lesser supernatural target from area] (these count as 2 Wards each)
20 Agony [14 Save, 2d8 Melees]
16 Firebolt [6d6]
4 Fear [14 Save, 20ft radius, 9.00 Min.]

*** He will also seek to have a custom weapon or something done at the Alchemist AND have 2 of his his Environmental Robe Re-created
This would be the Environmental Tent [PFRPG PG 258, 4 Man Tent = 3,500] in the shape of a Robe.

A shopping list could go in the general request thread. That said, you all need to find the page numbers/citations and do the math for the things you want to purchase that have them. I don't mind checking math or the like for things that are more intricate but please don't put all the burden of it on me. As is it doesn't seem like any of the things you want are outlandish, but I'll process it all when complete.

Postby Thorgrim » Sat Sep 29, 2018 4:17 pm

Thorgrim will have spent his 3 months (12 weeks) enrolled into an advanced training program (AT) offered by the Red Brigade (referenced within the PFRPG Rules tab, character development section) http://www.explorersunlimited.com/eu/viewtopic.php?f=835&t=16599

Thorgrim will have completed “Survival Advanced Training”, a 12 week program (3 months).
Thor is a “Man-at-arms” and would be rated the 5,000 gold per week rate:
12 weeks X 5,000 gold/week = 60,000 gold /12 weeks

Thorgrim withdraws 45,000 gold from his account at Werrington’s, and borrows 15,000 gold loaned to him from Tyral in order to pay for his training.

Desired outcome is as per pg 99 of Heroes of Humanity, in accordance with the PFRPG adaptation with the link above.
If approved roles will be added to the roll thread.

Bump.

Also seeking ruling on Gem PPE Storage as per Rifts RUE Rules:

RUE Pg 131: Emeralds can hold up to 10 PPE/carat. Diamonds can hold up to 20 PPE/carat.
*** Storage capability also confirmed @ Pg 133
