Age: 300yrs
Height: 8' tall
Weight: 280 lbs
Description: Tall, lanky, and more thin than the average Promethean. Muscled legs that look like they are built for speed. Color Changing Rune-like tattoos barely visible, that cover his entire body. Jagged scar looks like an "X" across his face.

Natural Abilities
Doesn't breathe air and are immune to radiation and normal heat, fire, cold, gases and disease. Can see in total darkness and have a eagle-like normal vision.
Phased Bodies: Prometheans are in a permanent state of "phase." This means the energies of most weapons are harmlessly dispersed as they pass through their bodies. This dispersal is directly proportional to the energy of the weapon. Mega-Damage attacks from any source inflict only one SDC point per MD point rolled. SDC weapons do half damage.

Phase Teleportation: Prometheans can "Step out of phase" and travel at incredible speeds in an intangible state. This is the equivalent of teleportation, because a phased character can only travel in a straight line and for only a second or two. Concentration takes one melee round and is the only action that can be performed during that round. Range: One mile per level of experience. Chance of Success: 50% plus 4% per level of experience. A failed roll means the teleport does not occur. Passengers, vehicles and large amounts of equipment cannot be teleported along with the Promethean.

Sense Dimensional Anomalies: Can automatically detect Rifts, dimensional envelopes and pockets, fourth-dimensional and two-dimensional beings, astral travelers and the invisible energy essence of alien intelligences and entities. Range: One mile or line of sight, whichever is less.

Ley Line Phasing: Equal to the ley line walker ability.

Phaedricks's Story

Postby Phaedrick » Thu May 13, 2010 10:37 am

Phaedrick is a Promethean whom to this day does not know much of his heritage. Either he can not recall, or he does not want to recall his early days on Center. What he does know and remember is the time he spent with his "Master." An ambitious Temporal Raider ever reluctant to teach Phaedrick anything of value.

The Promethean was shunned and hated by his peers early on. It did not help his cause that the "Master" although reluctant to teach him found it strangely compelling to show him things at an earlier stage in his "servitude" than he did with the others. His natural phase abilities made things less difficult for Phaedrick to comprehend Temporal Magic. Still the "Master" handed out knowledge slowly... ESPECIALLY with Phaedrick.

It is possible the Temporal Raider was simply afraid that the Promethean would surpass him in knowledge one day, and he did not enjoy the thought... or he did not know much of this strange alien species and was concerned that Phaedrick might turn on him one day- which all but two others tried... of the ones who did foolishly try, none succeeded, or lived, or worse.

If you were to ask him today about how he came to be a Temporal Wizard he would spit first, as an involuntary reaction to the memories, and then tell you whatever was on his mind at the time- which would probably be nothing even close to resembling those days.

Phaedrick adores learning, you will find him pouring over library books and encyclopedia. He especially enjoys learning about new species of wildlife, and different things that can be made of wood.

In a fight you will find him striking at the heart of the matter first, although many times his lust for a good brawl wins over and he simply does what comes natural to most people who have been swung or fired upon... duck and counter. more times than not you will also find him being the instigator of a fight... He has been called "The Gray Hairless Dwarf" by some with heckles, this no doubt would be the reasoning behind it, though he doesn't know that.

He has a jagged scar which crosses from the left and right of his forehead, above and across each eye, to beneath the middle of his brow in an "X" down each side of his cheeks into this neck. Usually covered partially by a mask and hood. Laughter is his defense to questions about it, and the usual knee-jerk response after spitting, "HA!! Even bulls are branded!"

Phaedrick has at last found his way back to Center. The supposed home of Prometheans. Why he came he does not fully understand... though the inner drama which compelled him, was too strong to deny.

Ever on the lookout for ways to make money. Phaedrick makes an attempt at setting up shop, and discovering what it is that calls to him from this... dwelling place of Prometheans.
