Background Story

Legacy of Heroes:

Jason's father was Robert Warner an inventor who fell into some big money through some patents. He pampered his family as much as he could and made sure they never wanted for anything. His children were homeschooled and very lightly disciplined. They were, however made to work themselves to the limit both physically and mentally. This resulted in Jason enrolling in the Air Force at the age of 18.

The one thing that was always off limits to them was the basement of their house. It was their father's workshop. Jason was visiting his family at the age of 22 and wanted to figure out what the hell was down there. He snuck into the basement at night. There he found his father dressed in the garb of a famous hero he had only seen on television. His name was Regal and he was a upstanding robot jock who as a member of the government sponsored crime fighting group Court Order, had become known throughout the country. After hours of begging and pleading, his father set to work on creating an exoskeleton for his son if he promised to keep the secret from the rest of the family. Jason dropped out of the Air Force when the suit was finished and became his sidekick The Baron. They fought crime together for years and his father trained him in everything he knew.

Tensions began to grow after a year when his father began to notice how often his son was failing to use proper restraint while apprehending villains. When Regal brought it up, The Baron lost his composure and attacked his own father. After defeating Regal, he came out of his rage and realized that he had injured his own father. Truly repentant but knowing that there was no coming back from this, he flew home to get some money and supplies, and then drove out of the state to set up in the Brisby Flats borough of Century Station. He brought what little mechanical equipment he could with him and began to eek out a living through taking money from villains at night and hiding away in his apartment during the day. Here, he hoped, through his relentless assault on the neighborhood's crime that no one would notice that he had simply changed the look and the name of The Baron and was hoping to make up for his past.
