This store, owned by Wilhelm Kraus, is the only authorized Triax retailer in MercTown. He sells the entire range of pistols and rifles, including pump guns and their ammo, as well as the entire series of WR small arms, T-10 Cyclops armor, T-11 Enhanced armor, and T-40 Urban Plainclothes armor.

Special Note: Civilian Items from Triax 2 are available. Military NGR items are not.

Murdoc walks in off the street and looks around. When the salesperson approaches him, he says, "I saw the sign out front and was interested in the FreeRunner series. The basic TFR-04 seems like a good, around town kinda thing but what I'd really like to see is the FreeRunner Combat Exoskeleton."

Murdoc will listen to the sales pitch and smile along, asking questions about maneuverability and the power source, but what he really wants to hear is the price.

As he waits, Murdoc considers his purchases and what he wants to look for next, Crap, with the extra pads, that basic Freerunner will almost equal my normal Juicer plate armor. Not bad. And to think I was just getting it for my 'around town' garb. ha ha, well, next up is transportation. That exo suit will make me hella fast, but I need something to pack my gear in.

Murdoc looks to the salesman again and nods as he confirms his purchase, "Yes, All three will be great." He provides payment off the new Universal Card.

As Hazel gets out of her vehicle, she spots a well dressed man of European decent unlocking the door to Kraus Imported Arms. He looks up and begins to point at the closed sign with the hours of operation. How ever he stops as the obsession to find your stolen Robot keeps you talking. "Fräulein, ich bin Wilhelm Kraus. Sie sind weit weg von zu Hause." He listens to the rest of the story with interest at the mention of an X-545.

"So eine wundervolle Maschine. Ich habe sie nicht auf Lager. Leider kann ich sie nicht in die Hände bekommen. Das Militär behält sie für sich. Ich könnte mich mit solchen Dingen befassen, da ich mir einen X-545 sehr gerne ansehen würde. Dies wäre jedoch nicht billig und würde wahrscheinlich viel Zeit in Anspruch nehmen. Wenn Sie bereit wären zu zahlen, wäre ich bereit, meine Kontakte zu nutzen, um möglicherweise Ihren Besitz zu lokalisieren. Kraus makes coffee for both him self and hazel. Should Hazel refuse the coffee he will leave the cup next to the pot. "Jetzt. Lassen Sie uns dieses Geschäft diskutieren. Warum fängst du nicht am Anfang an?" Kruas then waits to hear Hazel's tale of how she lost her robot.

I could look into such matters, as I would very much like to get a good look at a X-545. This however would not be cheap and likely take a good deal of time. If you were willing to pay then I would be willing to use my contacts to possibly locate your possession. I would expect this kind of endeavor would cost more then you have on you at this time. Likely several million to begin the search.
  • I would be able to start a search with as little as five hundred thousand credits. But make no mistake the cost will go up. There will be agents to recruit and networks to establish. Now if this is agreeable then why don't you tell me exactly how you lost such a rare and beautiful machine.
  • Have a seat. Coffee?
  • Now. Let's discuss this business. Why don't you start at the beginning.

Hazel follows Mr. Kraus inside and excepts his offer of coffee. She does stare at the decor for a bit and wonders how her family is doing. She suddenly realizes Mr. Kraus has offered her a seat, so she suddenly drops into the chair awkwardly. When he asks her to explain everything she takes a deep breathe before starting in, "Ich habe früher im Vaterland für eine private Bergungsfirma auf dem Schlachtfeld gearbeitet. Vor etwas mehr als einem Jahr habe ich einen X-545 gefunden, der verschrottet werden sollte, aber ich habe meinen Arbeitgeber davon überzeugt, dass ich ihn behalten und wieder aufbauen kann.", she then blushes and looks down into her coffee, "Ich weiß, dass es illegal ist, aber er brauchte meine Hilfe. When Mr. Kraus brings up so much money her shoulders slump and she looks upset, "Ich habe momentan nicht so viel. Aber ich werde auf Sie zurückkommen, wenn ich es habe. Danke, dass Sie Herrn Kraus zugehört haben, werde ich Sei zurück, sobald ich das Geld bekommen kann. Und danke für den Kaffee.", Hazel sets the coffee mug down and gets up to leave.

Translation
"I used to work for a private contract battlefield salvage company back in the fatherland. A little over a year ago I found an X-545 that was to be scrapped but I convinced my employer to let me keep and rebuild it.", she then blushes and looks down into her coffee, "I know it is illegal, but he needed my help. I know that sounds crazy, but he is my friend. So...my employer finally said yes, but docked my pay for his troubles.". She finally looks up again, "After that, I spent the next year rebuilding him. When I was done I knew I could not stay in Germany. The Army would take him away from me. So I hired a private cargo ship to transport me and my robot here to America, where no one from the New German Army or Triax would bother us. But when the crew of the ship got us here, they suddenly left with my friend still stowed on board their ship. I think they stole him to sell him. I have been searching for him for the past 6 months or so. And now I have made my way here, to MercTown, still searching.", she stops and drinks half the coffee in several gulps.

When Mr. Kraus brings up so much money her shoulders slump and she looks upset, "I don't have that much right now. But I will come back to you when I have it. Thank you for listening Mr. Kraus, I will be back as soon as I can get the money. And thank you for the coffee.", Hazel sets the coffee mug down and gets up to leave.

Mr. Kraus is manning his store today. He seems to be on a call when Minerva walks in. He holds up a hand letting her know it well be a moment before he can help her. He is speaking in a foreign language she does not understand. After a few minutes of looking around, Mr. Kraus addresses Minerva in moderately accented America. "Good Morning. Vhat can I help you find today?" Minerva lays out her requests. Mr. Kraus checks his log of Items. "Ve are currently out of the TX-42. No shipment due in for a vhile. But I do have the combat exoskeleton you are looking for. It vill run you von hundred fifty tousand credits (150,000). Anything else catch your eye?"

Lahz stops at Kraus Imports just in time to see the back end of Minerva disappear down the street.
Upon entering he locates 3 of the TFRX-011s. That seems to be the most in stock. When Lahz inquires about the other items, Kraus gives a small chuckle. "Those are exceedingly rare out this vay. I don't have any in stock. and you don't look like a cyborg so the manhunt vould not help you much. But you look mechanically inclined. You may wish to check some of the junk yards for salvage. You might get lucky. So it vill be von point five million for the three chassis." (1.5mil credits.)

If Kraus has someone he might be willing to refer them to, Lahz will take down the name and contact method, "If this works out I will be sure to repay your helpfulness." The Psi-Tech will go ahead and pay 1,500,000 credits for the available [3] TFRX-011 FreeRunners, and up to 300,000 credits as a deposit on 3 additional units, drop his purchases in the garage at the Haunt en route to head out shopping ... head to the Bank to extract pay for each of the other Spooks [withdraw 5 Million on 5 cards 1-Million Each], then Randall's Rotors out by the Airport... eventually ending up at the [[Ogre's Den]].

Amber enters the store and is impressed by the showroom. Very nice setup here, she thinks. She feels a little out of place amongst the displays of weapons and armour as she is dressed for a night out on the town.

As she wanders around the store she looks at the available weaponry and gear. She waits for member of the sales staff to approach. Once approached she smiles. “Good afternoon. I was hoping you have a TX-26 Particle Beam Pistol in stock. If it isn’t in stock, I am open to any other suggestions you may have.” Amber waits to hear if it is in stock or if there are any other suggestions. (OCC - If any of the new energy pistols are available from Triax 2, she would be interested). Otherwise she continues. “To go with that I require 2 additional Forward Sliding E-clips. I would like to trade in this TX-24 to offset the cost. It is a fine weapon, but lacks the stopping power and ammo capacity of the TX-26 in my opinion. I’m also interested in an ammo belt and a holster for the TX-26.”

She is waved over by a gun-bunny of a human woman with fiery orange hair and several tattoos. "Let's see that 24." She says, taking the 24 from Amber and inspecting it, she waves over another operator in the store who looks at it and whispers something to her. She then turns back to Amber. "For store credit towards the 26, I can give ya 7k. My associate is checking for that 26 right now. It's a rare piece in these parts." She says plainly. After a couple minutes of window shopping the glass case, the other one walks back out holding a case and Amber hears, "But it seems to be your lucky day. Straight swap, you'll owe 28k for this piece. Each clip will run you 6; so 12,000 total for those. That's 40,000k total after trading in the 24." She'll give Amber a moment to consider.

Amber mentally strokes the first of her errands off her list. Well, that is done. Next stop The Wilk's Store.
